I aim to work collaboratively to build an authentic and caring space that can hold and explore the complexities of life, identity, and experience. Your ability to show up as a whole person with passions, interests, struggles, and identities is key to an empowering therapeutic relationship. I enjoy working with a variety of life stages and identities, especially young queer and trans folks. I am particularly dedicated to working with individuals with physical disabilities and chronic illness – you deserve to feel comfortable showing up to therapy as your entire self. As a queer therapist, I recognize the role of systems and identity in the ways we experience the world and strive to incorporate your own lived context in the work we do together.
My approach uses a client-centered framework to explore your lived experience. I work to unpack the stories we have been told and tell ourselves, exploring systemic and individual factors while focusing on what is most important to you. I also integrate tangible skills where they can be useful, such as learning how to communicate more effectively or deal with moments of distress. I hope that our time together creates pathways for you to show up more authentically both in therapy and in your everyday life.
