Frank Floski, LCPC (he/him)
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and currently am enrolled at the University of Michigan, in the sex therapy program, and will be seeking AASECT certification. I have experience working with individuals, couples and those in other types of relationships (poly, throuple, etc).
Prior to joining Positive Regard Therapy, I worked with clients dealing with anxiety and stress, depression, adjustment issues, and self-esteem. Additionally, I have interest in working with queer men who experience issues related to gender and sexuality, such as shame, gender/sexual identity, and relationship or intimacy issues. I also consider myself a sex/kink positive practitioner.
In my work with clients, I utilize a nonjudgmental, humanistic approach where I create an open, welcoming, and safe atmosphere my clients. I incorporate principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into sessions, as I believe that connection with the present moment and being aware of how our thoughts affect our behavior and emotions are often at the root of many mental health concerns.
