Pre-Licensed Therapists
Positive Regard Therapy (PRT) offers a clinical training program for graduate level pre-licensed therapists. As part of this program, we accept Aetna, BCBS PPO, Cigna and offer reduced rate / sliding fee sessions starting at $30. Seeing an pre-licensed therapist for a reduced rate, allows pre-licensed therapists to earn the hours they need for their program, and can be especially helpful for those who are unemployed, underemployed or do not have adequate health insurance.
Our pre-licensed therapists are seeing clients in-person at our Andersonville office or via telehealth.
To schedule a first session or get more information, please email hello@positiveregard.co or call our main office line at 773.570.2829.

Therapy is a way to heal when the world has been unkind to us. As a trans woman of color, I have experienced my own healing journey and understand how tough a spot you’re in as you look for a new therapist. I work with an open heart and mind and want to meet whatever you’re facing alongside you. I talk through whatever feels heavy right now and earn your trust. I want us both to understand you better than when we met. I’m glad you’re looking for help today; this is an act of self-love. If you want to meet and see if we’re a good therapeutic fit, please reach out. Regardless of whether we work together, I wish you the best in this next part of your life.

I believe an empathic and authentic alliance is the bedrock for therapeutic growth and meaningful change. You are the ultimate expert on your lived experiences, perspectives, and goals, and it is my job to meet you where you are with respect, honesty, and humility. As a therapist, I am deeply committed to a strengths-based, anti-racist, and identity affirming approach that holistically views your concerns to promote your overall wellness. This approach integrates humanistic principles with narrative, existentialist, and Adlerian practices in a therapeutic environment where you can feel seen, heard, and respected.
We’d love to hear from you.
